Teplicke Skaly – Rocks in winter
Wonderful but a freezy weather in New Year? What can be more interesting than going for a walk among most beautiful place in Czechia (Czech Republic).
When we arrived we got surprised – everything is closed and free. No entrance fees, no parking fee – a good start!
First approach and 500m were boring. But just after that there is around 400 steps climb to a viewing point. Very steep and not for faint-hearted. Landscape is astonishing from the top.
Further part of the trail, this among high walls of rocks and monuments, is covered by ice. Without crampons, it might be risky and on stairs (four or five of them are on the track) it is extremely dangerous, so be aware!
For the end of the day we went to Skaly – a small village with perfect panorama. The whole landscape is covered by sunset’s red and white snow.
